Ochorenia prsníkov sú tak časté, že ich mnohé ženy považujú za „normálne“. No štatistiky sú neúprosné: karcinóm prsníka je najčastejšia rakovina u žien a jeho výskyt na Slovensku rastie. Prevencia sa pritom stále zužuje najmä na mamografiu – nástroj, ktorý ochorenie odhalí, ale mu nezabráni. Čo ak však existuje prehliadaná príčina, ktorá by mohla meniť celý pohľad na zdravie prsníkov?
V článku Mgr. Petra Tuhárskeho, ktorý prinášame v magazíne Dieťa č. 12/2025 – 1/2026 v rubrike Po stopách zdravia (93. časť seriálu Hovorme o vede), sa dočítate aj o príbehu Američanky Lynne Farrowovej, ktorá roky zápasila s bolesťami hlavy, hypotyreózou, cystami v prsníkoch a napokon s rakovinou, otvára dvierka k otázkam, ktoré si ženy kladú len zriedka. Prečo sú prsníky tak často zapálené? Prečo lekári považujú „benígne ochorenia“ za normálne len preto, že sú rozšírené? A kde sa v skutočnosti začína cesta k rakovine?
Ďalej uvádzame kompletný zoznam literatúry, z ktorej autor čerpal, keďže sme ho priamo do článku v Dieťati č. 12/2025 – 1/2026 nemohli umiestniť pre veľký rozsah.
